Equatorial New Guinea Proves to be the most controversial team of 2011 FIFA Women World Cup

The soccer team for the Equatorial New Guinea is renowned to raise controversies and the most recent controversy rose when one of its key strikers, Jade Boho Sayo, was barred from international soccer for 2 months, which will also prevent her from taking any part in the country’s World Cup campaign.
The governing body for the soccer, FIFA, banned her for 2 months because the striker seems to be ineligible to play for Guinea as she is already on the roaster of under-19 team of Spain.
Jade Boho did not change her nationality or reveal her past to FIFA before enrolling for the roaster of Equatorial New Guinea. The 24-year-old forward posted on her Facebook that she has been stopped from participating in the World Cup. She also added that it was her own mistake as she did not register with her current team properly and now she can not appeal against the decision made by FIFA.
New Guinea team was earlier accused of playing men on women team and two of the team members had to withdraw before the World Cup. The gender of the alleged sisters, Bilguisa and Salimata Simpore, was questioned by the opposing teams in 2010 African Women’s Championship and the players were dropped by the team administration, without any reasonable explanation. The team still has a player on its roaster, Genoveva Anonma, who is claimed to be a man.
