Andy Murray is fresh off his win at the Cincinnati Masters, and he will make his first appearance on Wednesday at the US Open.
He has been waiting in New York City after it was shut down due to Hurricane Irene over the weekend, and has had to wait until the third day of the Open to get started at this year’s last grand slam.
Murray will be playing at Arthur Ashe Stadium and his first round opponent will be Somdev Devverman from India, a player that he has never faced before.
Murray says he’s seen Devverman play before and his impressed with his positive and good attitudes, very solid, so Murray will have to play well.
Maria Sharapova and Andy Roddick, both are former champions at Flushing Meadows, are scheduled to play in the featured night matches, both former champions at Flushing Meadows.
