Aransas County Court-at-Law Judge William Adams, a 51-year-old Texas judge who
handles child abuse cases, is the subject of a police investigation after a secret
video that his daughter, Hillary Adams, made in 2004 ago was uploaded to YouTube
last week.

Her parents were angry at her for using her computer to download pirated content and
Hillary, who was 16 at the time, knew something was about to happen so she secretly
videotaped the beating in her bedroom. The 8-minute video shows her father
threatening to beat her “into submission” while lashing her 17 times with a belt and
has been watched nearly 2 million times.

Hillary Adams comments on the situation, “It did happen regularly for a period of
time. I’m very relieved that these things have been brought to light and not because
I want to see my father burn or anything like that. That’s a hideous way of thinking
and I don’t want to inflict that upon him. I cannot stress enough — I cannot repeat
myself enough, that he just needs help.”
