NY Giants Beat The Odds to Win Super Bowl 46

Super Bowl 46 ended up being a classic I-can-top-that showdown between the New York Giants and the New England Patriots in Indianapolis. The outcome was in doubt until the last desperation pass fell to the turf as the last second ticked off the clock. Eli Manning started the game with nine straight completions, a Super Bowl record. Tom Brady hit 16 straight over the second and third quarters, breaking Joe Montana’s Super bowl record of 13.
Manning finished 30 for 40 for 296 yards with one touchdown, while Brady had two TDs and was 27 for 41 for 276 yards and threw one interception. Unfortunately, Brady couldn’t answer in the final 57 seconds. The final play fell just beyond the grasp of lunging All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski in the end zone. And with that, New England, who was 15-4 and winner of 10 straight, was done.
The Giants, who were 6-2 after their 24-20 victory at New England, are the first Super Bowl winner that was outscored during the regular season.
