The Angels will soon phase out use of the phrase "El Hombre" in further marketing campaigns involving superstar slugger Albert Pujols.
Tim Mead, the Angels Vice President of Communications said on Tuesday that billboards using Pujols and "El Hombre" will remain up in parts of Southern California until early April.
But Mead said the MB franchise is very aware of how Pujols feels about the phrase and respects his wishes that it will not be used further.

Well, NASCAR sure knows how to make a prime-time impression. Fire, rain, and Tide laundry detergent all factored into a Daytona 500 that will go down as what will be call the most bizarre in the history of NASCAR. And oh, yeah, Matt Kenseth picked up his second Daytona 500 victory.
The first Daytona 500 ever to be postponed took more than 36 hours to complete after rain rescheduled it from its scheduled Sunday afternoon start to yesterday at lunch, then to the evening, and ultimately turned it into the first ever Daytona 500 race run in prime-time television.

For the first time ever in history, the Great American Race will start in prime time under the lights.
Just one day after the Great American Race was postponed due to weather, for the first time, NASCAR's biggest race will be moved under the lights by more persistent rain that on Monday continued through the area.
In the morning, the hope was for the Daytona 500 to go green at around 12:15 ET, but it soon became clear that the wet stuff would not cooperate. The race time has been moved to 7PM ET by track officials.

Even after that duo racked up the points, the NBA All-Star game came down to a last defensive play.
A bloodied Bryant scored 27 points, as the career scoring leader in the game, he moved past Michael Jordan. Durant had 36 points in an MVP performance, and Blake Griffin's interception of LeBron James' pass secured the win for the Western Conference, 152-149 win over the East on Sunday night.

It's raining right now at Daytona International Speedway, delaying the start of the Daytona 500.
NASCAR officials have pushed back the start of the race more than a half hour before the green flag was scheduled to drop.
They intend to wait as long as possible to start drying the track, and try to get the 500-mile race in on Sunday. The track takes about two and a half hours to dry, but the drying process can't be started until it stops raining. No Daytona 500 in its history has ever been postponed.
The weather forecast calls for intermittent showers most of the afternoon, and on tap for Monday, even worse weather.

The high-profile murder trial of University of Virginia has resulted in a second-degree murder conviction of former lacrosse player George Huguely, the Daily Progress reports. The jury sentenced the 24-year-old Huguely to 26 years in prison for killing fellow senior and ex-girlfriend, Yeardley Love in her apartment in 2010, reports the Washington Post.
Jurors compromised between the prosecutors' request for a first-degree conviction, which could have brought him a life sentence, and the defense's hopes for manslaughter.

Tom Martinez, the longtime personal coach to quarterback Tom Brady of the New England Patriots, has died at age 67.
His wife, Olivia, said to the San Mateo Daily Journal that he died on Tuesday after suffering a heart attack while receiving kidney dialysis treatment. The San Francisco Chronicle reported that he died in Redwood City.
Tom Martinez worked with Tom Brady when he was a teenager growing up in San Mateo, where Martinez was a coach at College of San Mateo. Their friendship continued during Brady's NFL career.
