In the Republic of Haiti, 12 out of 18 candidates for president have demanded a break held in the country's presidential elections, accusing the authorities of fraud and deceit.
One of the opposition candidates, Mirlande Manigat, said that ballot boxes were stuffed with ballots before the election. Another presidential contender accused the current leader of Haiti, Rene Preval, of trying to steel the election and prefer a candidate from the ruling party Jude Celestin. And Sam R. Preval has no right to participate in elections, as he served as president for two terms.

British nurse, Jodie Kenna, from Halewood, Liverpool, who was unaware of her pregnancy, got into a warm bath to ease stomach cramps and ended up giving birth to baby girl.

The Obama Administration is setting aside 187,000 square miles in Alaska as a "critical habitat" for polar bears, which could potentially severely curtail and add unanticipated limitations to anticipated offshore drilling for oil and gas off the Alaska coast.

Eurozone countries have reached an agreement on financial assistance to be provided to Ireland in the amount of 85 billion Euros.

On Monday, November 29, Brazilian police seized 40 tons of marijuana during a special operation against drug traffickers in the Grota favela District Alemao, located in the north of Rio de Janeiro.

American actor and star of comedic classics such as Naked Gun and Airplane, Leslie Nielson, passed away in hospital near his home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at 5.34pm on November 28th, 2010.
