Iran is proposing a new round of talks about its controversial nuclear program with the 6 world powers, the country's top nuclear negotiator stated Saturday.
Saeed Jalili stated that he has formally called on the 6 powers -- the United States, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany -- to go back to the negotiating table with Iran.
The invitation comes after new sanctions newly imposed by the West over Tehran's uranium enrichment program, which is a potential pathway to creating nuclear arms.

The US Food and Drug Administration approved the expansion of the world largest pharmaceutical company Pfizer Inc best selling Prevnar 13 vaccine for use in preventing pneumococcal disease in adults age 50 and above.
The Pfizer’s Prevnar 13 protects and fights against 13 strains of pneumococcal bacteria that cause meningitis, pneumonia and ear infections.

A latest survey released on Friday by HSBC Purchasing Managers Index showed that manufacturing sector of China slowed in the last month of 2011 for a second month due to weak global demand amid sluggish US economy and European debt crisis.
The latest HSBC report added the growing indications of tension on the world second largest economy’s manufacturers and exporters. The final HSBC Purchasing Managers Index for December 2011 rose 48.7 on a 100-point scale as compared with a reading of 47.7 in November.
